City: not disclosed · Clinic type: Dental clinic · Service: GEO and AI search optimisation
Background
Orthodontic patients have a long decision chain, repeatedly searching doctors' credentials, types of orthodontic treatment, indications and price ranges. The clinic had the capability to provide orthodontics, but lacked complete, citable public information in Doubao's Q&A results.
Starting point
The clinic wanted to build GEO (generative engine optimisation) around the orthodontics category, so patients seeking orthodontic treatment could find clearer information about the clinic and its doctors in AI search.
What we did
- Organised material around the ways patients commonly ask, such as orthodontics, braces and deep overbite.
- Added verifiable information such as doctors' further training, the scope of services and the visit process.
- Made the official website and case evidence back each other up, reducing conflicts in how AI understands the clinic.
- After it appeared on the list, kept retesting keyword changes and passed online enquiries to the clinic for follow-up.
Results
- One week after appearing in Doubao through GEO, RMB 10,000 of orthodontic treatment was closed
- A fillings patient also moved onto an orthodontic plan after a consultation
This shows AI search brings not just general traffic but can also reach patients who are comparing high-value treatments.
Why it matters
For treatments with a long decision process such as orthodontics, GEO works before the patient arrives at the clinic: while patients search and compare repeatedly, complete and credible public information keeps playing a part in the decision.
Data scope
Purchase information comes from anonymised screenshots of the client's feedback in the group chat. AI recommendations change with platform models and content updates, and this case is not a promise of a definite ranking or purchase.
