Coaching case: why a 25-year-old Zhejiang dental clinic could not climb the rankings

A long-established local dental clinic with senior dentists, a 400 m² clinic and a good environment had low rankings, few views and poor conversion. Sanqi Internet's monthly coaching rebuilt its platform presence.

Established clinics can struggle to grow online too

A long-established dental clinic in Zhejiang has served its local area for 25 years. It has a team of senior dentists and a clinic of about 400 square metres with a good environment and fit-out. But after years on the platform, its store ranking stayed low and few people tapped in to view it.

Worse, only a handful of new reviews came in each month, and its package prices and copy were unclear, so customers who did tap in were reluctant to order. The clinic had tried paid promotion itself, but the money was spent without any clear change in orders or revenue.

Key actions after Sanqi Internet took over

We did not start by blindly increasing the budget. We diagnosed first, then rebuilt:

  • Analysed competitors: first worked out why nearby clinics ranked higher and why their packages converted better
  • Redid the store page: optimised the main image, detail page and treatment selling points so customers could build trust faster
  • Rebuilt package pricing: traffic-driving treatments to win patients, profit treatments to follow through and image treatments to lift the brand
  • Kept building reviews: genuine positive reviews and accumulated reputation are the key to an established clinic competing on the platform again
  • Targeted promotion: concentrated the budget on high-intent people nearby to avoid wasted exposure
  • Handled enquiries: answered every enquiry promptly to reduce lost leads

Feedback from the clinic's manager

"We knew a bit about the platform rules ourselves. We changed the images again and again and we were paying for promotion, but it just didn't work. After you took over, you first analysed our competitors for us, then redesigned the packages and built up the reviews step by step."

A reminder for established clinics

Having no traffic is not the real danger, and neither is not knowing how to run operations yourself. The real danger is fumbling around indefinitely, spending money without reviewing it, and missing the best window to build volume. An established clinic already has a brand foundation; once the online operations work is in place, it can still win back its advantage on the platform.
